Man hit in fingers by stray bullet

YOUNGSTOWN — A man was grazed by a stray bullet at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday on the West Side, he told police.

Police spoke to the victim at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, where he was being treated in the emergency room for an injury to two fingers. An officer observed minor lacerations between his middle and ring fingers.

After he was brought to the hospital, Mercy Health police officers contacted Youngstown police.

A Youngstown police report does not indicate the age of the victim or the city where he lives.
