Police activity reported Jan. 20-Feb. 4:

Feb. 4, 1:08 a.m. — Following a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Belmont Avenue for having no lighted lights on the back of the vehicle, Michael S. Jackson, 32, Idora Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 3, 11:23 p.m. — Following a traffic stop at Belmont Avenue and Goldie Road because the driver didn’t come to a complete stop before turning right on a red light, police arrested Gerald J. Paige, 44, Broadway Avenue, Youngstown, on a felonious assault warrant from Warren police.

9 p.m. — Police picked up James M. Mrofchak, 49, West Second Street, Girard, from the Mahoning County jail on a felony warrant.

2:08 p.m. — Police picked up Dustin M. Letourneau, 37, Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, from the Mahoning County jail on a warrant charging probation violation and counterfeiting.

Feb. 2, 3:08 p.m. — After a woman called police to 409 Ventura Drive on reports a man was pounding on her door, police arrested William E. Dorsey, 32, Mercer Avenue NE, Warren, on charges of assault, burglary, aggravated menacing and resisting arrest.

3:33 a.m. — After reports of an unwanted person at 3019 Northgate Drive, Spencer T. Borom, 32, Hillman Street, Youngstown, was arrested on charges of burglary and violating a protection order.

Feb. 1, 11:13 p.m. — A possible drug overdose was reported at Fast Trac, 3990 Belmont Ave., when an Austintown police officer spotted a man passed out in a vehicle and called 911. An officer gave the man naloxone, an opioid reversal drug, and another officer gave the man CPR. Liberty fire transported the man to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for further treatment.

5:18 p.m. — Following a traffic stop on Belmont Avenue by Walmart, Kristian A. Coons, 26, West Liberty Street, was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing, obstructing official business and failure to comply with the order of a police officer, and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Jan. 31, 5:19 p.m. — Police were called to Quality Inn, 4055 Belmont Ave., where they arrested Chelsea Prezgay, 30, Addison Road, Masury, on warrants charging probation violation, possession of drug abuse instruments and complicity to theft; and Ronald French, 44, Pritchard Ohltown Road, Warren, on a warrant charging possession of drugs, at the request of Hubbard Township police.

12:58 p.m. — A burglary was reported at 632 Underwood Drive.

8 a.m. — Theft was reported at 111 Aurora Circle.

Jan. 30, 3:48 p.m. — After a traffic stop on Tibbetts Wick Road at Shannon Road for not having visible rear registration, Ke Aunte Detrick, 22, Judson Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling in a motor vehicle.

12:15 a.m. — Following a traffic stop for a headlight violation on Motor Inn Drive by the Metroplex, Penny L. Crabtree, 51, Fenton Street, Niles, was arrested on a warrant charging attempted robbery through Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Jan. 29, 3:32 a.m. — After reports from neighbors that a woman was being beat up at a 1465 Townsend Ave. apartment, Jimmie J. Taylor, 30, Detroit, Mich., was arrested on charges of domestic violence and disrupting public services.

Jan. 28, 4:15 p.m. — Hotel employees at Days Inn, 1615 E. Liberty St., reported a woman punched and broke a television in a guest room.

3:31 p.m. — After reports a man opened a bottle of Fireball liquor and began drinking it without paying for it at Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, Daniel Velazquez, 28, Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with theft and criminal trespass.

1:21 p.m. — A Klines Drive man reported he and his son were assaulted at an eighth-grade basketball game at Liberty Middle School, 4115 Shady Road.

8:40 a.m. — A Belmar Drive woman reported identity theft, after someone applied for unemployment benefits under her name.

Jan. 27, 6:59 p.m. — A woman reported she was assaulted by another parent at her son’s seventh-grade basketball game at Liberty Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, after a woman yelled at her for not wearing her mask properly.

6 p.m. — A disturbance was reported at 24 Scott Lane.

1:01 p.m. — After the theft of televisions and other electronics were reported at Walmart, 200 Goldie Road, Jayshawn T. Sutton, 22, Grant Street, Akron, was charged with theft and arrested on warrants.

Jan. 26, 3:53 p.m. — Following reports of “aggressive” panhandling at Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., Aaron E. Bolash, 38, Bessemer Street, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing and a Youngstown police warrant charging receiving stolen property.

Jan. 22, 3:13 a.m. — After reports of a man with a knife at 2906 Northview Blvd., William Berch, 68, Riffle Street, Struthers, was arrested on charges of felonious assault and resisting arrest.

Jan. 20, 11:50 a.m. — After reports of a disturbance at 5 Shady Lane Drive, Mindy Nicholas, 38, was charged with domestic violence.
