YOUNGSTOWN — Charles E. Berger Jr., 52, who is in the Mahoning County jail, was indicted Thursday on felonious assault with a firearm specification and aggravated assault with a firearm specification.

He is accused of shooting a woman during a domestic quarrel on Cassius Avenue early May 5. Police said the woman was not seriously injured but was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Also indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury are:

Askari H. Loury II, 26, of Silliman Street, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Christopher L. Powers, 28, of Compass West, Austintown, intimidation, retaliation, obstructing official business and two counts of criminal damaging or endangering.

Mason A. Jones, 29, of East Liverpool, fentanyl related compound possession, heroin possession, possession of drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chance J. Osborn, 35, of Wellsville, fentanyl related compound possession, heroin possession, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Michael D. Ludovici, 28, of Chester, W. Va., fentanyl-related compound possession, heroin possession, possession of drug abuse instruments and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

William D. Gratz, 52, of Love Warner Road, Cortland, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Jose L. Figueroa, 53, of East Judson Avenue, felonious assault with two firearm specifications and menacing by stalking with a firearm specification.

Johnny L. Cleavenger, 44, of Balsam Court, failure to verify address.

Shanika S. Simmons, 36, of Clarencedale Avenue, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Kimani D. Johnson, 29, of East Auburndale Avenue, aggravated drug possession.

Tausha R. Milender, 28, of East Avondale Avenue, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Michael D. Johnson II, 20, of South Heights Avenue, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Dre L. Kelley, 24, of Madison Road, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, heroin possession, fentanyl-related compound possession, cocaine possession and drug possession.

Aaron L. Jones, 26, of the Mahoning County jail, assault and aggravated menacing.

Franklin E. Barwick, 35, of Belle Avenue, aggravated drug possession.

Melvin D. Johnson III, 26, of Riblette Avenue, aggravated drug possession and failure to comply with the orders or signal of a police officer.

Edward M. Johnston, 31, of the Mahoning County jail, attempted aggravated burglary, two counts of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, attempted trespass into a habitation, aggravated menacing, using weapons while intoxicated and failure to stop after an accident.

Amy S. Duvall, 30, of Lafferty, Ohio, heroin possession and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Milton C. Glenn, 42, of Idlewood Avenue, obstructing official business, misconduct at an emergency, falsification and resisting arrest.
