WARREN — The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been requested by the Warren Police Department to investigate an officer-involved shooting early Thursday in the 1500 block of Longfellow Court NE.

Dominic Binkley, press secretary with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office BCI, said the investigation is active and ongoing.

Reports indicate that officers were called around 5 a.m. to an incident at a home on the street.

BCI’s Force Investigators and Crime Scene units responded early Thursday to the scene where several Warren police cruisers were parked on the road.

Crime scene tape was around a home at the property earlier Thursday but had been removed by early afternoon.

He said the male subject was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries and is in stable condition. Binkley said no officers were injured.

He said no additional information is available at this time.
