YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Police Department, Ohio Attorney General’s Office and authorities from Fayette County near Columbus held a news conference today to announce that they have identified two John Does, including Robert E. Sanders, 23, whose remains were found off of Liberty Road near Mount Hope Cemetery on Youngstown’s East Side Sept. 10, 1987.

The news conference was held in the Covelli Centre. Sanders, who was known as Earl Sanders, was identified through DNA and a familial match, but authorities also made a bust showing what they believed Sanders looked like, and the bust led to a tip that solved another unidentified-persons case in the Columbus area.
