NORTH LIMA – One person is dead from a single-vehicle crash that happened at about 10:30 a.m. today on state Route 626 near state Route 164.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the vehicle traveled off of the right side of the road, struck a culvert and came to rest in a ditch. The vehicle caught fire and was extinguished by Beaver Township Fire Department. The driver was deceased when safety personnel arrived.

The name of the person, who was not wearing a seatbelt, is being withheld pending notification of relatives. The state patrol is investigating.
