Rugged 3D Printing moves into Youngstown Business Incubator
YOUNGSTOWN – The West Coast company Rugged 3D Printing announced today that it has relocated its operations into the Youngstown Business Incubator downtown.
The company is the 10th to begin operations in the incubator’s Tech Block Building 5, the former Youngstown Vindicator building on Vindicator Square. It means there is only one small space left in the building, which began three years ago, YBI CEO Barb Ewing said.
Rugged 3D focuses its 3D printing on solving problems in deploying additive manufacturing equipment into harsh environments such as military environments.
The announcement was made today during a panel discussion moderated by Ewing.
The summit was held at the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University and attended virtually by about 50 people via YouTube.
The summit is part of an effort to identify federal resources that can help job creation and economic development in the Mahoning Valley.
