Six additional COVID-19 deaths were reported today in the Mahoning Valley — four in Mahoning County and two in Trumbull County.

Overall, there are have been 281 COVID-19 deaths in Valley — 178 in Mahoning, 50 in Trumbull and 53 in Columbiana counties.

There have been 2,206 COVID-19 deaths in the state as of today, up from 2,155 Sunday. There have been 35,984 confirmed cases of the virus in Ohio as of today, up from 35,513 Sunday.

In Mahoning County, there have been 1,480 cases as of today, up from 1,434 Sunday. There have been 581 confirmed cases in Trumbull County as of today, up from 573 Sunday. In Columbiana County, there have been 875 cases as of today, up from 794 a day earlier.

Statewide, 6,112 people have been hospitalized as of today because of the virus, up from 6,049 Sunday.
