The Ohio Department of Health reported 857 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the state total to 1,130,134 cases and 20,492 deaths since the pandemic began. Mahoning County added 24 cases, for a total of 22,840 cases, with 613 deaths. There were 15 new cases reported in Trumbull County, moving the total cases to 16,900, with 493 deaths. For the first time in more than two months, Ohio exceeded 1,000 reported COVID-19 cases in a single day. The 1,317 cases reported Tuesday by the Ohio Department of Health is the first time the state went over 1,000 since 1,208 were reported May 20. It’s also the most cases reported in a single day in Ohio since May 12 with 1,449.
