MINERAL RIDGE — The Weathersfield Local School District is proud to announce that Mineral Ridge High School has been recognized as one of America’s Best High Schools by U.S. News & World Report. Jackson-Milton Elementary School awarded grant for book vending machine

NORTH JACKSON — Jackson-Milton Elementary School students have a new vending machine at their school, but this vending machine dispenses books instead of snacks and sweets. Jackson-Milton Elementary is the recent recipient of the $8,905 Pages for Positivity: Lit & Behavior Grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation. The book vending machine arrived in September to kick off the new school year. Mayor honors fundraising efforts of two CHS girls

CANFIELD — Canfield High School senior Hadley Moser and sophomore Angelina Folsom were honored at the start of Canfield City Council on Nov. 5 for their efforts in raising funds for Salem Regional Hospital and the fight against breast cancer. Mayor Don Dragish proclaimed Nov. 5, 2025, as Hadley Moser and Angelina Folsom Day. The two young ladies are members of the high school’s Teen Health and Medical Society Club.
