Dominion foundation awards $10,000 to local organizations
WARREN — The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation has awarded $10,000 to Mahoning Valley community organizations that help feed, house and care for people in need.
The recipients are Second Harvest Food Bank, Youngstown, $5,000; Beatitude House, Youngstown, $2,500; and Carter House, Youngstown, $2,500.
Forty-six nonprofit groups in Ohio received part of $208,500 in Critical Community Needs grants from the foundation. The Ohio grants are part of $1.6 million awarded to 200 nonprofit organizations in Ohio and 12 other states.
