‘Meet the Douds’ at Packard museum
“Meet the Douds: Packard’s In-Laws and Out-Laws” is the topic of a lecture at noon Saturday at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren.
Charles Ohlin, director of educational services, will talk about the marriage of Warren Packard and Mary Elizabeth Doud in 1860 and the colorful Doud family. The family had its share of black sheep, including a brother who had several brushes with the law before settling in Deadwood, S.D., and a maternal uncle who was part of a notorious gang of Ohio criminals known as the Blinky Morgan gang.
The program is free with paid admission to the museum. For more information, call 330-394-1899
