Lit Youngstown hosts Zoom reading

Authors Nicole Burdge of Akron and Michael Credico of Cleveland will be featured at Lit Youngstown’s next First Wednesday Readers Series event.

Burdge is a medical scientist and fiction writer whose story, “Lost in Transformation,” was featured in The Masters Review’s New Voices series. She is a graduate of the Northeast Ohio MFA program, a lifelong reader and a writer who has a hard drive full of unpublished projects.

She lives with her husband and dog in Akron, where she is writing a novel that she is confident will finally land her a book deal.

Credico is the author of “Heartland Calamitous,” which was longlisted for the 2021 PEN / Robert W. Bingham Prize for Debut Short Story Collection and The 2021 Story Prize. The Cleveland writer’s fiction has appeared in Black Warrior Review, Denver Quarterly, DIAGRAM, Hobart, New Ohio Review, NOO Journal, Puerto del Sol and Quarterly West.

The reading starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday via Zoom and will be followed by an open mic co-hosted by Brian Hill. Those interested in watching and / or participating can register for a Zoom link at lityoungstown.org.
