Customs and objects used for dining on display at Tyler History Center

“Arts for the Table” is on display through Aug. 18 at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., Youngstown.

The students enrolled in Johnathan Farris’ Art for the Table course at Youngstown State University worked closely with Mahoning Valley Historical Society Collections Manager Jessica Trinkett to develop the exhibit. It features a broad range of elegant dining accouterments in ceramics, glass, metal and other materials spanning the last 200 years.

Each student chose a theme relating to the customs and objects used for dining. They researched the MVHS and private collections to create an exhibit celebrating the art of the dining experience. For more information, go to mahoninghistory.org or call 330-743-2589.

Starting at $2.99/week.
