Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens opens for the season today with the exhibition theme “Restoration: If This Hall Could Talk.”

The theme celebrates an extensive restoration process throughout the estate at 714 N. Portage Path, Akron, that started in 2015. Other changes include an outdoor guided history tour of the gardens and grounds, a new performing arts series and the return of such events as Founders’ Day Weekend — June 11 to 13 — and the Father’s Day Car Show, June 20.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. All tours are self-guided. Guided tours of the Manor House are expected to return in June, depending on the guidelines issued by the state and county public health departments.
