Howland native to headline concert at Ford hall

YOUNGSTOWN — “Let’s Fall in Love,” a concert featuring vocalist Amanda Beagle with the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Jazz Combo, is planned Feb. 14 at Ford Family Recital Hall.

It will be the first event at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown since the orchestra board entered into a management agreement with the administrative staff of Stambaugh Auditorium to operate the performing arts complex.

The concert will feature Latin jazz standards, traditional Italian melodies, arias and Broadway favorites.

Beagle, a Howland native and former Miss Ohio, made her New York City debut at Lincoln Center performing in the Little Orchestra Society’s production of “Babes in Toyland.” She has performed on Holland America Cruise Lines and appeared in several regional theater productions. She studied music and voice at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music and serves on the musical theater voice faculty.

Tickets for the 2:30 p.m. concert are $37 (which includes all fees) and discounts are available for senior citizens, students and veterans. Seating is reserved, social distancing will be practiced with seating assignments and face coverings are required for admittance.
