Some deportations have been unjust

DEAR EDITOR: No one wants violent criminals at large in our communities. But allowing numerous deportations to a brutal prison across the globe without a legal trial is not only unlawful, but inhumane. Some of those swept up in those raids were innocent of any crime and some had a traffic violation. How the Boys & Girls Club shaped my life

DEAR EDITOR: At just 6 years old, I walked through the doors of the Boys & Girls Club not knowing that it would become one of the most influential parts of my life. What began as a safe place to go after school quickly transformed into the foundation of who I would become. The club gave me more than a place to spend time.
