Armstrong’s 1st flight marked
WARREN — It was 90 years ago this summer that a young Neil Artmstrong missed church one Sunday to take his first fight in a metal airplane off Parkman Road in Warren. More than 70 people gathered Sunday afternoon at the Neil Armstrong Lunar Module site, where a special tribute took place to acknowledge not only Armstrong’s first flight on July 26, 1936, but also his landing on the moon on July 20, 1969.
