Linda Anne Hudson Norton 1945-2024

SUN LAKES, Ariz. — Linda Anne Hudson Norton, 78, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, after an extended illness.

She was born to parents Cecille A. Marti Hudson and Delbert W. Hudson, on Sept. 13, 1945, in Canton. She lived most of her young life in Boardman and most of her adult life in Fowler.

Linda graduated from Boardman High School in 1963. She went on to study nursing at Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing and graduated with her nursing degree in 1966.

Linda worked as a registered nurse for 42 years at various hospitals in Youngstown, Warren and Conneaut. After relocating to Ocala, Florida, in 2005, Linda worked at West Marion Hospital as a surgical RN before retiring in 2008.

Linda met Ernest N. Norton Jr. in 1968. They were married Aug. 16, 1969, in Vienna, Ohio. Together they raised two children, Stacy Norton Westbrook and Laura Norton Mosch.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, camping, relaxing on the beach or at the pool, reading, walking and shopping at second-hand stores. Due to Ernie’s love for dirt track car racing, Linda also enjoyed working in the concession stands at Expo Speedway and Speedway 7 in Northeast Ohio during the early 1980s.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ernie of Sun Lakes; two daughters, Stacy Westbrook of Phoenix, Arizona and Laura (Sean) Mosch of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Ian Edwards of Chicago, Illinois, and Olivia and Quinn Mosch of San Diego; sister, Jeanne (Delbert) Hanuschak of Henderson, Nevada; and her two brothers, Jeff Hudson of Boardman and Scott (Karin) Hudson of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Cecille Hudson, as well as her beloved dog of 11 years, Yummy.

At Linda’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Linda’s memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (lbda.org) or Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix. (hov.org).
