¯ PYMATUNING VALLEY 41, SOUTH RANGE 40: ANDOVER — South Range couldn’t finish a fourth-quarter comeback in a Division III District semifinal against the Lakers.

The Raiders trailed, 36-30, entering the fourth 8 minutes after a third-quarter run by Pymatuning Valley. They held the Lakers to five fourth-quarter points, but they couldn’t complete the comeback.

South Range’s Brandon Mikos led all scorers with 14 points. Mike Patrone added 10.

PV, which plays at Springfield in a district final on Friday, trailed by one at halftime but went on a 15-8 run in the third quarter to take the lead. The Lakers made just one fourth-quarter field goal, but they went 3-of-6 from the line to hold on for the victory. Mason Inman scored 13 for PV, and Tanner Rhoades contributed 12 points.
