Junior Kendall Nigh placed third at district Thursday at Perry for the Poland girls, as the top six advanced to state. Both D’Alesio and Nigh own their respective program’s school records in the event.

The top two finishers in each swimming event in Divisions I and II automatically qualified to the state meet, which begins Wednesday at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton and concludes on Saturday. The Division I district results on Saturday had not been released by press time.
