SPARTAN INVITATIONAL: BOARDMAN — Poland’s girls cross country team and Boardman’s Frank Bero each placed fourth at Saturday’s Spartan Invitational.

The Bulldogs took fourth with 103 points, led by Jackie Grisdale and Halle Sebest, who finished in the top 10 in Division II.

Salem’s Carly Hall took sixth in the Division II girls race, just like her Quakers did in the team standings.

Bero was fourth in the Division I boys race with 16:13.9, after taking third in the Division I B Division Race.

Each division had two sections for both boys and girls, to separate the distance the races to comply with local board of health guidelines. The two sections were made into one to compile the final results.

Poland’s Logan Flament was 10th in the Division I boys race.
