BROOKFIELD — Boardman displayed its depth, as three of the Spartans finished among the top 13 in the Brookfield Invitational to enable the Spartans to win the title in the 20-team field Wednesday at Yankee Run.

The Spartans bested runner-up Beaver Local by 17 shots, as Ryan Sam placed third with a 75. Joe Worsencroft tied for 10th with a 79 and Luke Ryan tied for 12th with an 80.

Columbiana’s Tyler Anderson was medalist, firing a 73 to finish one stroke ahead of Struthers’ Chaz Ekoniak.

Boardman posted a 321, followed by Beaver (338), with Columbiana and Jefferson both logging 339s. Canfield placed fifth (343), one stroke better than Howland.
