The Youngstown State University athletic department was informed Thursday that former Cleveland Indians outfielder Rajai Davis was unavailable to attend the baseball program’s First Pitch Breakfast due to a personal commitment.

Davis was supposed to be the event’s guest speaker.

The First Pitch Breakfast is still scheduled for today at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

The event will still feature the 2026 YSU roster and coaching staff and provide fans with the opportunity to enjoy a breakfast buffet and hear directly from the players and coaches as the team prepares to begin the 2026 season at Auburn on Feb. 13.

Fans and supporters can still bid on exclusive items in the 2026 YSU Baseball First Pitch Auction, which runs through Feb. 2. To view auction items, visit BidPal.net/BaseballAuction2026.

For any questions or concerns, contact YSU head coach Trevor Charpie at tcharpie@ysu.edu.

Starting at $3.23/week.
