The Mahoning Valley Scrappers and 7 17 Credit Union have worked together since the team’s inaugural season in 1999. And on Tuesday morning, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and 7 17 Credit Union revealed an expanded partnership for the upcoming 2025 season.
They announced that 7 17 Credit Union will be the official banking partner of the Scrappers, as well as the introduction of the Scrappers Affinity Credit Card.
The card can be used anywhere, and with each transaction, 7 17 Credit Union will donate 7.17 cents to the Scrappers to assist with youth outreach projects and stadium maintenance. The card is a part of the 7 17 Credit Union Affinity Partners initiative and will directly support local organizations with funds.
Cardholders will receive benefits such as a $25 gift card if they apply within 30 days and pricing incentives. The card will come with a 7.17% introductory rate for all purchases and balance transfers for the first three months.
The expanded partnership will also have an impact on fan experience this season.
Dollar Dog will return to interact with young fans, and a “revamped” 7 17 Dollar Dog Club will offer incentives such as free tickets to Scrappers home games for new and existing account holders.
After a successful first run last year, the Scrappers will hold their second Financial Wellness Night at the Ballpark on July 17. Similar to last season, 7 17 Credit Union will buy out Eastwood Field to provide a night of free entertainment. Hotdogs and soft drinks will be free of charge and the night will end with the first drone show in the ballpark’s history.
Tickets for Financial Wellness Night will go on sale May 12 at the Scrappers’ box office. Members of 7 17 Credit Union can receive premium seating with proof of membership – a debit or credit card or an account statement will do – at the box office.
To apply for the Scrappers card, visit www.717cu.com. For Scrappers tickets, visit https://www.mlbdraftleague.com/mahoning-valley or mvscrappers.com, or call the box office at 330-505-0000. Single game tickets start at $7.
The Scrappers’ home opener is June 4 against the State College Spikes.
