Over the weekend, the Boardman boys bowling team took second place at the state championships in Columbus.

The Spartans finished behind Ashland, who won the program’s first state title.

Jessy McCutcheon was Boardman’s top performer. He scored a 691 for eighth place.

Austin Rule took 12th with a 680, Don Bagdassarian tied for 15th with 665, Ben Hildebrand finished tied for 25th after rolling a 648, Chase Realty came in 87th with 232 and Caden Wilcox ended the day in 92nd with 195.
