When will Congress do something?
DEAR EDITOR:
Every day, some senator or representative voices “concern, worry, or disappointment” regarding the behavior of a chronic liar, felon, bully and bag of waste, fraud and abuse who uses brute force policies to trample our Constitution with impunity. When will Congress get off its comfortably padded seats and do something?
Must we wait until the bullies, newly masked and lawless by dint of the current clown train administration, demand to be quartered in our homes?
Must we wait for an American kristallnacht or maybe for universities to have “work will make you free” entrance gates? Will we be met by masked secret police at the polls telling us how to vote? Has Congress forgotten the people they represent are voters whose ballots still can vote them fewer terms in office than planned?
The Yahoos currently comprising leadership encourage the violent arrest and detention of peaceful protesters, often jailing them hundreds of miles from their home, with no due process of law.
Even shooting protesters to death and claiming immunity for the shooter is possible. Maybe they’re counting on “just not having” an election.
Enough congressional handwringing. I want legal action taken by the only elected body empowered by our Constitution to impeach the felon who is ruining our nation in service to his passion for personal wealth, praise and power.
Time grows short. I hope to resist, protest and vote the rascals out. I believe the majority of citizens are reaching that same point. Congress must do as much.
