The Libs/Dems want voter rights when 20 million people (illegals?) don't have a birth certificate to show proof of identity. How about voter responsibility, instead?

Shortly after Robert Mueller passed away, Trump posted on Truth Social: "Good. I'm glad he's dead." What a disgusting, vile thing to say about anyone! Sadly, I'm afraid millions will be saying the same thing when this pathetic human being heads off to Hades.

This is regarding the human trafficking case in Trumbull County. Six people, who pleaded guilty, got a slap on the wrist and a fine because Judge Rice didn't want the state to house and feed them. Really? With this mentality, it's no wonder the Epstein case is going nowhere.

Wait until daytime temperatures are consistently 50 to 60 degrees to clean your leaves and your flower beds. This gives time for beneficial insects like bees and ladybugs to emerge. Do not spray your lawns. Allow dandelions to bloom and dry because they are the first food for bees. Consider planting sunflowers and milkweed. Provide an unmowed wild space in your yard for insects and small animals to find shelter. We must live with nature and not destroy it.

Offended when Trump played down his war of choice as an "excursion" after six of our personnel were killed by hostile action, I now see his point. Had he declared war, he might have been charged for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Treason, which requires a harmful action, like allowing Russia to peddle its oil, even as it gives targeting information against our troops to Iran, would be "aid and comfort," a treasonous offense if done during a declared war. Congress would need a spine, too.

I sent a check to the gas company at the end of February. It was mailed at the post office. Why in the world has the gas company not received it? It is bad enough the southbound entrance to Interstate 680 from Western Reserve Road eastbound (near Dunkin Donuts) doesn't have a dedicated turning lane to reduce traffic, but now the forever road project has claimed the Western Reserve Sparkle Market as a victim. Sparkle's owner warned for years the project would jeopardize his store. Sparkle in Salem and South Avenue closed because they were subsidized by the Western Reserve store profits. Hopefully Columbiana and Cornersburg Sparkle won't be the next dominoes to fall from the road project.

At the time crude was trading at about $29 a barrel. But Schumer whined that it was nothing but a bailout for the oil industry. Now that same Sen. Schumer is demanding Trump release SPR reserves. Never mind the fact that Biden drained millions of barrels in 2022 to aid Democrats in the midterms.

The USPS continues to spiral downward with its dependability. Despite the semi-annual increases in postal rates, they continue to become more inept. It is taking between 7-14 days for normal letters to be delivered. In the past few months I have received six utility bills that have arrived AFTER the due date. I swear that this started when Trump appointed an unqualified campaign donor (DeJoy) to be postmaster general. I guess the USPS wants all bills paid online, which will further decrease their revenue.

While doing my federal taxes I was surprised to find that in filing separate returns my spouse and I did not qualify for the $6,000 deduction in the Big Beautiful Bill that Trump bragged about in his State of the Union speech. If you file as single or married filing jointly you are qualified for the deduction. However, if you are married and each file separate you DO NOT get the deduction. I don't understand why it would make a difference.

Someplace Safe, a domestic violence shelter for women, had a wonderful fundraiser last weekend. It was marred by the grotesquely inappropriate presence of Devon Stanley, who was recently arrested for the alleged assault of his wife -- a second-degree felony. Attending a domestic violence event to further your campaign for judge while simultaneously standing accused of domestic violence is an insult to everyone at that fundraiser and all of the people working toward justice.

The new Major League Baseball ABS challenge system for verifying balls and strikes is brilliant! Suddenly, the batters have an equal standing with the cocky, very inconsistent umpires, to say the least. The ones who could previously eject batters for questioning a call; the same umpires who have overturned many a critical outcome in the playoffs. Like Tom Glavine getting strikes called like 8-9 inches off the plate during the '95 world series, to Cleveland's detriment. I like it!

I notice when reading SoundOff that most people who are left leaning can't write a letter without insults and hatred. Why can't they express their beliefs with respect for others' beliefs? They don't give facts, just repeat the left's talking points. As a registered Independent I look for what a politician is saying, not the vitriol that they say for the radicals on either side. I agree, as I am a long time supporter, user, and former employee but I have to ask -- Is the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) a good steward of our tax dollars? The PLYMC Administration has ballooned in the past 10 years or so from 23 to over 40 (present level) with very high salaries along with very generous benefits. It is hard to discern what all these staff members are doing with such titles as ILS Administrator, Rental Coordinator, to name a few. Is PLYMC staffed with "Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians'? Is this really the best use of your our tax dollars?

A good example has been the Mexican government's crackdown on a powerful drug cartel in the state of Jalisco, where security forces killed the "bad" guys. Of course, Israel didn't need to take a cue from Trump to start its attacks on Iran and other neighboring adversaries.

To the writer from Poland who wrote about the economic gain from the income tax refund I have a question. What has President Trump did that is against the Constitution? And what democratic norms are you talking about ? The things Joe Biden did like tapping people's phone? I wrote the letter to highlight the Democrats hypocrisy. If you think President Trump does everything wrong, then the extra refund should be wrong in your eyes. Again, you're a hypocrite if you keep the extra refund!

Would you list anything you have done for the Valley? You even leave that Valley for newspapers to tell us what you do. Town Halls? NO Respond to constituents' letters to your office? Only when it is a canned response by a robot. You can't even get more than one other Congressman to co-sponsor anything, You are as useful as doing nothing. At least you can get free meals paid for by others.

Mahoning County Recorder Richard Scarsella settled his defamation lawsuit 2023 CV 2524 against Mill Creek Park's Executive Director Aaron Young on November 18, 2025. The court ordered the parties to file the settlement by December 18, 2025. Online records indicate they have not. If not, why not? The settlement is a public record. Government insurance (paid for by taxpayers) defended Young in the lawsuit. So when will the public see the settlement?

King Trump has unilaterally gotten us into a war with Iran. He has no idea what the ramifications will be, nor does he know how to deal with them or the cost. Iranians and Israelis will die, Americans will die, thousands will die. His message to the world is that the way to resolve a problem is to attack those you disagree with. So might they attack us? This is the seventh country he has attacked in about a year.

I voted for Trump, however, due to recent developments I will no longer support the Trump-BiBi-Epstein-BlackRock Syndicate. However, this does not mean I will back Democrats, I am withdrawing from the uniparty system and will no longer vote since there are no differences. Voting Democrat or Republican is like arguing over a Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. They are the exact same!

Looks like the self-appointed Chairman of the Board of Peace has renamed those he once called "suckers" and "losers" as patriots. He needs them to die in his latest foreign war game. It's just another billions of bucks grift of everyone including the losers and suckers who thought they were electing a hero. I hope every great Medal of Honor recipient medaled by Trump gets another formal presentation made by someone more honorable than any member of this administration. That's not too high a bar.
