We can change things by turning to God
DEAR EDITOR:
Are you tired of hearing about another shooting on campuses? The latest in the news was a leader, husband and father — Charlie Kirk.
How many people felt the grief and sadness of his death? How long will we sit back and not fight this spiritual battle?
America, let us wake up before we experience the grief and loss of our loved ones like Charlie’s family. and friends. Let us join other believers in fighting for our families and this generation.
We fight back through faith and praying along with changing our hearts and returning back to God in repentance. We see many college students seeking God and wanting change. Our children are targets. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy our communities and families, all because we have turned from God.
Revivals are going on all over our world. Can America experience God’s revival? My answer is yes! It’s never too late if we would turn to God in humility and repent.
We can find hope and restoration for our nation when we repent. Follow and obey Jesus for there is no other way!
When Israel obeyed and followed God it was blessed. When they turned to worship idols, judgment came.
Ask yourself: What would it be like if people returned back to God? What blessings would God pour out over our nation? If we want America to be great again it begins with us changing our ways and obeying God and following him. Jesus is the answer. He came to live a life of holiness and teach us the way back to God. Our sins separate us from God.
Let us begin seeking God with all our hearts and minds. I want to see this world changed where yours and my grandchildren aren’t afraid of being killed or bullied on the street or in classrooms.
I urge parents to put God first in your life and marriage. I urge you to teach your children about God, his love and principles for a godly life. Be an example for them when they are young. Live a life of holiness before them. The Bible states that parents are to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he shall not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6.)
Bring your children and families to a Bible-believing church where the scriptures are preached. Children and adults need to know the truth for when truth is taught it sets you free.
