Is MCP a sanctuary or a killing field?

DEAR EDITOR:

The slaughter in Mill Creek Park will be in the townships of Boardman, Smith, Beaver and Canfield. These areas contain specific preserves and sanctuaries designated for the park’s deer-management program.

Sanctuaries are supposed to be fundamentally a place *of safety or refuge offering protection and peace for wildlife. Instead, they torture and slaughter. The locations include neighborhoods like Collier Preserve, Hitchcock Woods, and Huntington Woods in Boardman Township; Hawkins Marsh in Smith Township; “Mill Creek Wildlife Sanctuary” in Beaver Township; and MetroParks Farm and Sawmill Creek Preserve in Canfield Township.

According to the USDA, there are approximately “116 deer in Mill Creek Park” (14.9 deer x 7.81 sq mi/5000 acres), according to the newest survey.

Mill Creek Park/ODNR has issued “402 hunting permits” for this upcoming slaughter season + permit for snipers on golf courses, where they gather up mothers and babies, put them together, then open fire on them. Aaron Young is usually there to watch and hear the screams.

It sure looks like EXTINCTION. Read the above carefully.

MCP still has the count of the deer on their page wrong. It is 19 times the count that the USDA just gave, which is 14.9 deer per square mile. They have been told.

What is it about Mahoning County that all of you cannot put together? This is all misleading with intent. Lying, deceiving, spreading lies because Aaron Young wants a “deer-less park.”

Who the hell does that? Of all people, a park director? He’s a landscaper who was lucky enough to befriend a probate judge. I realize there are many people involved in this scheme of money but must you empty our park of the deer?

They don’t ask for a cut. Then what I last heard is that you’re killing all of the skunks, raccoons, squirrels, river otters and opossums. You are a director of a park?

A sanctuary is a place of safety or refuge, offering protection and peace. It can refer to a sacred, holy site like a church or temple, or a natural area providing safety for wildlife and you turn it into A KILLING FIELD.

You, Mr. Young, are a director of destruction and death. You are arrogant and rude. You treat the taxpayers terribly.
