A response to the editorial on MCP deer
DEAR EDITOR:
Mill Creek Park Executive Director Aaron Young is indeed nefarious and there certainly are evil motives. The count of 387 deer the first year was a blatant lie that Aaron infiltrated all of the media with. That lie was with intent, therefore being very nefarious and led by a madman. He is autocratic and will do anything he pleases. You obviously don’t really know him.
The fact that he now wants to kill all of the little animals proves his lack of knowledge of our echo system. The little animals, like the opossum, keep the tick count way down and the Lyme disease. We will have a manifestation of ticks and Lyme disease, if done his way.
Gee, I do not recall in the “Bambi” movie seeing elderly people lying awake to gunshots, I don’t recall seeing homes of people with children and pets in the line of fire. When we find decapitated deer lying on our property, we never think of Bambi. So the Bambi stuff has been long gone; reality has been here for two long years.
Oh yes, judging by some of my letters I have written with knowledge of the perpetrator, I have received many calls of applause. The opinion poll you had in your paper spoke volumes of where the taxpayers and people stand. They want the hunting to stop. There are only 14.5 deer per square mile, says a very recent count by USDA. So, is that just going to get ignored?
The editorial I had thought was simply trying to get us to make peace, but I was obviously wrong. This editorial was read again, and it was so well written to the point that the slams, insults and favoritisms were missed, as probably intended. I have read it again with a full understanding of its premise.
There is no compromise when it comes to slaughter, terrorizing the elderly and infringing on people’s privacy. Also, there is no compromise with people’s safety. Also, while reading a Volney Rogers book, I read where he actually built a comforting place for the deer to relax. True story. Please don’t try to say that Aaron Young cares about the founder of our Mill Creek Park!
