See something, then say something
DEAR EDITOR:
Recently in Coitsville Township, I was walking across the road to get my rural mail and Vindicator at the mailbox. Suddenly, a white pick-up truck with double wheels on the back came barreling down the road at a fast rate. I had my eyes on lookout for the truck, since I could hear that as it approached me the driver hit the gas and came so close to me that I had to jump out of the way into a ditch on the back of my mailbox. I think the driver either wanted to scare me or to really hit me, but that would have damaged their truck, since my mailbox post is an old telephone pole placed 15-to-20 feet deep by my brother and his excavator equipment. My question is for the police department staff — when is it appropriate to call the police department to provide information and does this incident qualify to report? I wanted to report in case another older person with not as keen senses would have this occur again and maybe they would be injured or their life lost. I hesitated since I know the police department is very busy with multiple serious issues.
Could we have some type of community service by the police department representative concerning this matter of “See Something, Say Something?”
Thank you to our police for your continued help in keeping our communities a safe place to live, especially in times of polarization and hatred being spread throughout our country.
Please everyone pray for peace In our country and the world.
