DEAR EDITOR:

Not a day goes by that we are not exposed to the ludicrous behaviors and unintelligent functioning of 47 and his coterie of mendacious sycophants roaming 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. It takes one’s breath away and is a perpetual challenge to decipher and cognitively process what is going on as the Capitol Hill MAGA entourage flaunts the law, sabotages the Constitution and openly lies about everything with wanton disregard. It is truly breathtaking how so many of the citizenry are victims of and captivated by 47’s delusions. It has gotten so bad, and the truth about any issue in American politics has become so elusive, that the average citizen doesn’t know who or what to believe.

But it’s not just in the administrative branch that has gotten so captivated with and unconscionably willing to perpetuate the utter dysfunction that corrupts all facets of American society. What is behind this abrogation of intelligent, productive and forward-leaning vision of our culture and society? Well, the answer lies in the voluminous content of Project 2025, that tome wanting a surreptitious return to a past where white men and mythological religious beliefs ruled the day. Where women and people of color were second-class citizens with little, if any, chance or governmental participation, and the rule of law interpreted solely by the powers that be.

Which, as we see today, means an erosion of individual rights. And all geared to a return to our so-called Founding Fathers with little regard for mankind’s progress. What those tasked with the implementation of Project 2025 don’t realize is there is NO going back. You can’t reinstitute a bygone era, a period in sharp contrast with where we have evolved today as a society. America has become a beacon of hope for our less fortunate global brothers and sisters … for humanity and for democracy, at home and abroad.

A scary publication, Project 2025, one geared to take constitutional rights away from the citizenry and place it in the hands of that rapacious, autocratic demagogue and his subservient followers. Just watch the WH press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, an articulate, yet arrogant individual, as she speaks for the deceitful “leader” of our country. You can tell by her body language she mindlessly supports 47’s damaged ethos while constantly defending his flawed delusions, perpetual lies and sociopathic narcissism.

But she’s not the only shill in 47’s Disney Land, there’s J.D. Vance, little Marco Rubio, Stevie Miller, and, of course, 47’s most subservient acolyte, Pete Hegseth — automatons all in a seriously damaged administration. And by the way, the emperor still has no clothes, and America will never have any kings at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
