Quality is lacking at WRTA bus stops

DEAR EDITOR:

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine recently announced that the state will award nearly $16 million to install more electric vehicle fast-charging stations along interstates and other routes as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program.

Meanwhile, those who are relegated to ride WRTA buses have no shelters at bus stops to protect them from the elements and must use shopping carts turned on their sides to sit. The irony is that riding public transportation is one of the most effective ways people can conserve energy and protect the environment, yet the quality of our bus stops is still lacking.
