Let Biden govern and help the people

DEAR EDITOR:

I’m saddened and disappointed by the reaction of the East Palestine residents toward President Biden’s visit. It reminds me of a sick child when affected by severe trauma — needing a parent’s full attention.

The parents get the most professional help possible for the child and then stand back to let them do their best. Instead of being grateful and appreciating what the parents did, they resent that the parents are also taking care of the rest of the family.

The world and the nation do not revolve around one disaster. The president is part of the government. He should be able to get help and aid from others in the government to help the people. Instead, he is having to do his job in spite of self-centered politicians determined to destroy our government if they can’t have their own way.

Wake up, people. If we don’t work together, there will be no reason to have a president — we will have a dictator who is intent on destroying us for his own glory.
