DEAR EDITOR:

The people that post Letters to the Editor, in particular on Bill Johnson being chosen as the YSU President, amaze me.

I first met Bill at the Scrappers Support Rally and a couple of times after that. I got to talk with him about his Air Force time, as I also served. You always hear we need honest people in office; yet, they vote for those who are less than honest. Bill, first of all, is a proven leader; he is a good and decent family man; and he will do the right thing to continue to carry on where Jim Tressel left off and even take YSU further. Tressel didn’t have a doctorate either; but, he brought a ton of money to YSU; along with increasing the student population, Bill Johnson will continue that. Those who bring politics into Bill being selected are narrow-minded and have tunnel vision. Give the man a chance; and you will see that this was a good choice.
