Power to the laity; where is the pope?
DEAR EDITOR:
The senate on synodality in Rome, made up of Catholic laity, writes “a letter to the church.”
Forgive me for asking, but where is the pope? Plus, the invited bishops got to speak for only “three minutes” during the month of laity talks.
This time around, the foundation of the new “modern” Catholic Church is being set in place. Where is Jesus and the gospel truth?
As the saying goes, “push the parental authority out and the house will be trashed.” Except we’re talking about the house of God.
