DEAR EDITOR:

While driving I came behind a car with a simple bumper sticker. It read “(Expletive) Biden.” Very simple, yet it immediately made me feel anxious and fearful. I have never seen a bumper sticker which reads “(Expletive) Trump.”

Never!

This makes me wonder why would I ever vote for anyone who advocates this kind of rhetoric and message. Why would I want to be governed by hateful representatives who have no respect for me?

Why are the people running for elected office not calling out this offensive rhetoric or behavior?

We really are at a tipping point in our country. Are we going to be governed by reason, law and respect? Or are we going to be terrorized when simply driving our vehicles? I will not stop advocating for the bedrock which is democracy.

I absolutely love that phrase, “Check out your mind and use it … because if you don’t, someone else will.”

We do not need to be swayed by hate, vengeance and retribution!
