Why I will not vote for Tim Ryan this year

DEAR EDITOR:

A recent article by CNBC stated, “The consumer price index, a widely followed measure of inflation, rose 8.3 percent in April from the year-earlier period. Economists polled by Dow Jones expected an 8.1 percent year-over-year gain.”

Not sure why people already in power (Tim Ryan) would be voted into a higher office when not a single person from his party is even taking ownership of inflation, price hikes, shortages and when they do, they blame “Putin.”

I must be the only person living in “Groundhog Day,” because Democrats are sounding much like they did in 2008. That’s when every single Democrat who ran for election — President Obama and Tim Ryan included — blamed George Bush and “speculators” for the then-record-high gasoline prices.

However, should you want to go into a deep dive, it was President Clinton, not President Bush, who signed into law in November 1999 the “Financial Services Modernization Act” that unleashed this wave of unregulated commodities trading that caused price hikes, not only to prices at the pumps as well as on chicken wings and coffee, which ironically, President Obama blamed for the subprime mortgage crisis but failed to repeal it and “rein in speculators,” as promised by so many democrats.

Sorry Congressman Ryan. I won’t be supporting you. Maybe circle back in a few years and run for governor.
