DEAR EDITOR:

I read letters to the editor from Democrats, and I’m confused. We had a president that was a big mouth narcissist, but the economy was the best it’s ever been.

His efforts, or lack thereof, to control COVID-19 left much to be desired, but he created Operation Warp Speed bringing vaccines to the market in record time. He had the government pay for the vaccines so Americans could get them free.

President Joe Biden said former President Donald Trump did nothing, and he took credit for the vaccine rollout.

The country changed to the liberal agenda. They laid off thousands of people in construction, left millions of dollars worth of steel rusting by the border, let criminals, drug dealers and cartels to control our border.

Cartels now make as much money on illegal immigration as they do on drugs; they’ve become millionaires, while we struggle with unemployment and runaway inflation. We hear about criminals caught crossing the border. Who doesn’t get caught?

Print money like it is a game. You don’t have to be an economist to understand that printing trillions of dollars results in inflation.

Compare today’s grocery bill to a year ago. Gas is up 50 cents a gallon. Lumber is up 262 percent. This is only the beginning. After the next $2.5 trillion printing, inflation will rise exponentially.

Massive tax increases are coming. If you believe nobody making under $400,000 per year will be taxed, what will those businesses do to your prices after paying huge tax increases? Democrats spent money on museums, high-speed rail and other cool things to keep their friends and donors happy. Do you know any closed small businesses that received money to reopen?

Biden authored a sweeping crime bill about 20 years ago creating mandatory prison sentences. It sent two of my black friends to prison for 10 years for selling crack. Yes, it is illegal, but 10 years?

A lot of good people, primarily minorities, went to prison from that bill. Yet Georgia tries to standardize voting and make it very easy for all, but bring identification like you need for anything you do today. Ever cash a check or flyor go into a government office without showing identification? Biden calls it “Jim Crow on steroids,” and lied about every aspect of the new laws. I remember hearing about Jim Crow in the South from my mother; that was true racism. A president talking like this is an insult to all Americans.

Democrats had control for less than three months, and the country is spiraling downward at record speed. You won’t even recognize this country at the end of his term.
