DEAR EDITOR:

Do Americans remember the old Wild West movies where the bad guys made themselves both judge and jury?

I don’t see any difference between the mob that attacked the Capitol and the victims “turned mob” who want to be both judge and jury (excluding those who died).

But the question in my mind is “Why?” If Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer knew, and were told by the FBI that the Capitol would be attacked on Jan. 6, did the majority leaders fail to protect the Capitol? It was their responsibility.

President Trump himself offered Pelosi 10,000 troops to protect the Capitol, even before the protesters of “mostly seniors” marched on Jan. 6.

Besides, who opened the Capitol gate from the inside and why?
