Preserve all history, even when it’s ugly
DEAR EDITOR:
This is in response to the Tribune Chronicle’s Dec. 26, 2019 editorial titled, “It is time to erect new statues.”
It’s too bad many believe history should be erased. Our past is not always pretty — sometimes it’s actually ugly — but it should always be remembered.
It’s where we came from, not who we are. Let us not forget.
