Trump’s 15 minutes on top are just about up

DEAR EDITOR:

Prior to the 2016 elections, our doughnut shop band of brothers wanted change in government. Such remarks were given: “Give him a chance; if it doesn’t pan out, select another person in four years. What can it hurt?”

At the time, my eyes rolled uncontrollably at such a remark.

My first reaction was a person that had no government experience had been given full throttle of a government.

My peptic ulcer now started to signal to me big problems lie ahead. I didn’t need a Ouija board or a fortune teller to clue me into the future.

It has been three years into his presidency. Has it been smooth sailing? Not by a long shot! Not to mention, basically, the entire world gave many warning shots across the bow of his flagship.

His supporters continue to state, “The economy is really doing well at this time.” In truth, it depends on what side of Wall Street you’re standing on; the middle class and poor may have a different opinion.

My take on it is, “With a president like him, who needs enemies?” Russia should give him a gold medal for his ability to divide America while helping to advance Russia with more territory.

I can sadly say, we have never had a president like Donald Trump. I might add, the best writer in fiction horror, Stephen King, was asked his opinion of the president and he stated, “I think his 15 minutes are just about up.”

Now, I surely take comfort in that statement.
