Joseph M. Stanchin 1939-2026

TOLEDO — Joseph M. Stanchin, 86, passed away on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at Foundation Park Care Center, Toledo. He was born on Sept. 8, 1939, in Youngstown, to Mary Helen and Joseph P. Stanchin. A 1957 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, Joe then went on to serve in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1958 until 1962. He then worked for 42 years as a purchasing agent for Bearings Inc., retiring in 2009. His memberships include the VFW Post 3338 and the Jude Thaddeus Post 1675 CWV. Karen was born May 30, 1954, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of Martin and Martha Peterson Dando. She was a 1972 graduate of Mohawk High School. For 17 years, she worked in the accounting department at Western Reserve Bank.
