Elizabeth Jean Toman 1935-2026

PARRISH, Fla. — Elizabeth Jean Toman, 91, formerly of Hubbard, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Elizabeth was born March 20, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of Rocco A. and Mary Gentile Berardino.

She was a 1952 graduate of East High School and later attended Youngstown College. She worked in the office at Automatic Sprinkler Corporation and later was a teller at Key Bank, retiring in 1999. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Hubbard Senior Group and the Hubbard Historical Society.

Elizabeth enjoyed reading, playing bocce, doing Sudoku and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband, Frank Paul Toman, whom she married May 25, 1957, passed away Oct. 1, 2014.

She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family, her daughter, Mary Beth Fincher of Parrish, Florida; her son, Bradley P. (Barbara) Toman of Brecksville; four grandchildren, Matt (Megan) Gambrel, Olivia Toman, Brooke Toman and Brandon Toman; and two great-grandchildren, Allison and Erin.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; sisters, Irene Perry, Lydia Yaniw, Phyllis Koss, Margaret Palko and Eva Berardino; and brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Elliott and John.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, with calling hours prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, Hubbard. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
