While volunteering at the hospital, Agnes and her husband were featured in a TV ad for the hospital in 2006. They also were awarded the Valley Legacy Award in 2016 for their outstanding volunteer service to the community.

Agnes loved to travel. She and her husband had traveled extensively throughout Slovakia, where she met with some of her ancestral relatives. She traveled to Rome, Italy, during the Christmas season, celebrated Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and was even afforded the honor and privilege of meeting His Eminence Pope John Paul II.
