Joan L. Blosser 1948-2026

WARREN — Joan L. Blosser passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.

She was born May 4, 1948, in Garden City, Michigan, the beloved daughter of the late Leroy and Dorothy Blosser.

Joan dedicated more than 30 years of her life to General Motors, working as a journeyman welder maintenance (WEMER) in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Lordstown before retiring.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Fred Lee Lawrence; her sisters, Jane Prost and Peggy Blosser; her grandmother, Audrey Blosser; her aunts, Evelyn Sparkia, Bernice Sparkia, Catherine Rondo and Kathleen Brown; and her uncle, Richard Blosser.

Joan is survived by her aunt, Mary Ann Blosser Fitch of Indiana; her sister, Helen Denny Bowen of Allegan, Michigan; her sons, Fred Lee Lawrence II of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Tarin Leroy (Shanna) Lawrence; and her cherished grandchildren, Tarin LeRoy Lawrence II and Tryce Lawrence (mother, Roxanne Lawrence), Ashley Woodford (mother, Elizabeth Hough), Josalyn Woodford and London Lawrence.

She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Lesster) Collins, Irene (Claude) Ryan and Mary (Elder James) Moore, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; along with a host of nieces, nephews and special cousins.

Joan held a special place in her heart for her loved ones, including Connie Damstra, Sandy Lewis and Amarria Hicks.

Joan had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the local Alzheimer’s Association.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Family and friends are invited to take a moment to reflect on and cherish a memory shared with Joan.
