Frank F. Rocca 1941-2026
CANFIELD — Frank F. Rocca, 84, passed away surrounded by his family with love on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Frank was born March 10, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Carlo Albert and Julia Vennettilli Rocca.
Frank was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln Park High School in Lincoln Park, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic. In 1965, Frank graduated from Carnegie College with an associate degree in medical technology.
Frank married the love of his life, the former Charlotte Tesner, on Oct. 23, 1970, and they shared 55 years of marriage.
Frank worked as a medical technologist at Zeiger Osteopathic Hospital in Detroit and then as a blood bank supervisor at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital.
He was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield, where he served as a Eucharistic minister.
Frank loved gardening and just putzing around doing his thing. Family time was precious to him, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Frank will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Charlotte; his daughter, Rose (Richard) Rocca Forde of Washington, D.C.; his son, Timothy (Deana) Rocca of Harrison City, Pa.; grandchildren, Weston Rocca-Forde of Canfield, and Bradley, Julianne and Adam Rocca of Harrison City, Pa.; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Vogrin Tesner of Canfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Pasqualina Rocca Eldridge; father-in-law, Carl Tesner; and brother-in-law, Carl Tesner.
The Rocca family has entrusted Frank’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield. Everyone is asked to meet at the church at 9:45 a.m.
