Marie L. Pupino 1936-2025

She was born Aug. 9, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of Salvatore DiGiacomo and Mary Poidmore DiGiacomo.

Marie was a graduate of South High School and she worked as a secretary for Boardman Township.

Nothing made her happier than getting her family together. Her sauce and meatballs were her specialty, along with anything she prepared. Her desserts were second to none. She made sure that everything she prepared was made with the finest ingredients, and most importantly, love.

She is survived by her husband, Nicholas J. Pupino, whom she married June 6, 1959, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica; her sons, Dr. Samuel (Holly) Pupino of Fairlawn and Marc Pupino of Austintown; sister, Janina Schettino of California; brother, Frank DiGiacomo of Boardman; and grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicole, Nicholas, Maria and Christina Pupino.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Deniro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025, at Holy Family Church.

Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
