Bonnie K. Brice 1955-2025

HUBBARD — Bonnie K. Brice, 70, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at home, with her family by her side.
She was born June 17, 1955, in New Castle, Pa., a daughter of William Stewart and Mary Jane Hughes Brice.
She was a 1973 graduate of Hubbard High School, later graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Penn State University, and continued to further her education, getting her master’s degree.
For 35 years, she worked in the medical field as a dialysis RN, ultimately retiring as a dialysis manager in 2022.
Bonnie was passionate about many things: politics, her garden, rock collecting, canning, her hot peppers, greens and ice cream (not all together), but most of all, spending time with her family. She believed in instilling a strong work ethic, an honest heart and the importance to think for yourself. Bonnie wanted nothing but the best for those she loved and for the environment around her. She never stopped educating herself and loved to help others. She loved traveling, especially to Grand Bahama with her husband, Ed, where she would beachcomb for hours.
She will fondly be missed for her animated debates and a free spirit, always making sure those she loved knew how proud of them she was. Bonnie never saw the true beauty in herself despite her beautiful nature and spirit. When asked what thing she enjoyed the most, Bonnie would reminisce on her days with her family, constructing a home in both Youngstown and Winlock, Washington. She was most proud of her two children and her work she completed while living in Winlock as a leader of a dialysis unit.
She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her husband, Edward R. Wittenauer, whom she married July 12, 2002; her children, Tammy (Michael) Marcis of Hubbard, Mandy Forgac (Bryan Pribula) of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Edward R. (Laura) Wittenauer II of Mason, New Hampshire, Aaron C.. Wittenauer (Robyn Oulette) of Nashua, New Hampshire; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves her siblings, Gary Brice of Surprise, Arizona, Ozelma (Edward) Hamrock of Hubbard and Nancy J. Brice of Hubbard.
Her parents preceded her in death.
There will be a memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home. All attending are encouraged to wear brighter colors and hats to honor her bright spirit!
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bonnie’s name to Patriot Cares-Patriot at Home, www.patriotathome.org, to whom the family is eternally grateful for making Bonnie’s last days painless and peaceful.
